Rep Barney Frank is sweating his re election this term ?

You may have read the extraordinary news that Barney Frank felt he had to personally loan his own campaign fund $200,000, adding to the almost $3 million he had raised from fat-cat donors.

This means he’s sweating. He’s worried he could lose. Believe it or not, Barney Frank could lose his seat.

He’s in trouble because he’s the poster child for the mortgage mess and the housing collapse.

Don't forget it was Barney Frank who, as chairman of the Banking Committee in 2007, continued to push for easy mortgage rules — even for people who couldn’t afford them and had no business getting mortgages.

In fact, the evidence shows that Frank prevented oversight and regulation of the mortgage business — setting the stage for the massive economic meltdown we have been living through.

As one of the most powerful Democratic members of Congress, Barney Frank did absolutely nothing to rein in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

This ended in disaster, causing caused misery beyond description.

When Bill O’Reilly grilled him about this on his show, he hemmed and hawed and then he just shouted. But the Barney Frank story gets even worse.

What I am about to tell you is simply astounding.

As chairman of the powerful House Financial Services Committee, Barney Frank was actually in charge of overseeing Wall Street.

After helping create the whole housing and mortgage collapse, then became the architect of the infamous $700 billion Wall Street bailout!

Remember — this was a time that folks like you and I on Main Street got no help at all as our housing values and stock portfolios plummeted and folks all over the country lost their jobs, businesses, and homes.

But now it really gets sick.

I recently discovered who actually is donating to Frank's campaign fund.

Lo and behold, the big donors to Barney Frank’s campaign are from big Wall Street and financial services companies!

Frankly, this isn’t a matter of partisan politics. It’s a matter of honesty.

Barney Frank is running scared because he’s been caught!

Even in liberal Massachusetts Barney Frank is on the ropes. Let’s knock him down for the count.

That’s what Super PAC for America aims to do, funds permitting.

Our powerful TV ads are working!

When we started Super PAC for America, no one was predicting that more than 50 Democrats would lose their seats in Congress. The influential Cook Political Report now predicts 60 or more.

Some Washington insiders are telling me that as many as 75 Democrats could be defeated and that a total of 113 Democrats are vulnerable!

This is like a live auction. Do I hear a bid for 100?

The more you give, the more damaged trees we can chop down.

We’re almost up to the $4 million mark. For each extra $1 million we raise, we can beat seven more Democrats!

I must make additional ad buys for this weekend, the Super Bowl weekend for congressional politics!

Senator Chuck Schumer anxoius to replace Harry Reid

With Harry Reid in serious danger of losing re-election on Tuesday, Democrats are naturally wondering who might replace him as the party's top leader in the Senate should he not return to Washington.

It's no secret that Chuck Schumer desperately wants the job, and today, the New York Times examines the senior New York senator's attempts to quietly position himself as Reid's successor. In perhaps the only time the word "subtly" has ever been used to describe the brash attention-getting Schumer, the Times notes that he has been doing everything he can to help out fellow Dems in need — contributing cash, headlining campaign events — in the hopes that they'll remember him when it comes time to elect party leaders in the next Congress.

There's just one problem: Schumer isn't alone in his leadership ambitions. Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin, Reid's current No. 2 and, perhaps most awkwardly, Schumer's D.C. roommate, also has designs on the job (and, as we noted months ago, the support of the White House).

The Coming Insurrection by the Invisible Committee as mentioned on Glenn Beck

here are some Editorial Reviews on The Coming Insurrection "This is quite possibly the most evil thing I’ve ever read."
Glenn Beck, Fox News / Glenn Beck Program

"For culture jammers, anarchists and malcontents everywhere, The Coming Insurrection is a bracing tonic – an elegant and inspiring call to arms."
— Kono Matsu, Adbusters

"...without a doubt the most thought-provoking radical text to be published in the past ten years. It deserves to be read and discussed."
— Daniel Miller, New Statesman

"Any book indirectly responsible for massive raids involving helicopters and anti-terrorist police, a splenetic Fox News broadcast and an impromptu book-reading at a Barnes / Noble bookshop in New York (also attended by the police) must have something going for it. And so it is with The Coming Insurrection, the kind of political pamphlet last fashionable in the 17th century (and perhaps for a period in the 1960s and ‘70s)."
Nina Power, Frieze Magazine

"I am not calling for a ban on this book. It’s important that you read this book. [...] And let me tell you something: Don’t dismiss these people. Don’t dismiss them."

CLINT Eastwood doesn’t like Barack Obama

CLINT Eastwood doesn’t like Barack Obama!

During an interview with American news anchor Katie Couric, the legendary actor and director said that while the President is a “nice fella,” he’s “not a fan of what he’s doing at the moment.”

Eastwood said Obama is not “governing” and he’s laying out lines in the hopes that people will believe him “so he can stay in his position.”

Eastwood, who was once the Mayor of Carmel, Calif., expressed his view on the political election process.

“I don’t think there’s anybody I see out there, or many people that have that kind of discipline, that are willing to take a chance on losing,” he said.

Eastwood — who turned 80 earlier this year — recently admitted he’s “become tired” of seeing himself on the big screen.

“I leave that to younger actors now,” he said. “I’m not a prize fighter who has to capture another victory. Since I worked as a director for the first time on Play Misty for Me in 1970 I’ve become tired of seeing myself on the big screen.

“That doesn’t mean I’m going to stop acting, though”

Voter fraud in Yuma Arizona for Raul Grijalva ? another ACORN trick

Voter fraud in Yuma Arizona for Raul Grijalva ?

The Yuma Sun is reporting that two organizations — Mi Familia Vota and One Vote Arizona — submitted more than 3000 voter registrations in Yuma County, and more than 20,000 voters statewide. Even more, they have signed up 43,000 people statewide for the permanent early voter list.

What they didn’t tell you is that voter fraud on a massive scale could be taking place, ostensibly to help Raul Grijalva keep the congressional seat he holds by stealing the election.

Here’s what the article doesn’t tell you, by a source in the Yuma County Recorder’s Office:

These 3000 voter registration forms were all dropped off at once by the one group on the deadline to turn in voter registration forms.

Almost all of the registrations were for the Democratic Party, a statistical improbability at best.

Today, these same 3000 newly registered voters — as a group — had papers dropped off at the Yuma Recorder’s office requesting to be signed up for the permanent early voters list… which means the ballots will be mailed early, with no accountability.

The Yuma Recorder’s office is checking the voter registration forms and have found that already more than 65% of them are invalid due to the registrant not being a citizen, wrong/invalid address, false signature, etc. Mi Familia Vota is a wholly-owned SEIU sub-organization. It is just as “non-partisan” as ACORN was before documented fraudulent behaviors finally killed it.

Hunter Cantor’s Corner documented Mi Familia Vota’s ties to the radical SEIU:

The web-site domain for Mi Familia Vota (mifamiliavota.net, created Aug 14, 2006) is and has been officially owned and registered by the SEIU. All contact names/addresses/email for the domain are listed as part of the SEIU in Washington.

What did Raul Grijalva spend his money on? He ate it

What did Raul Grijalva spend his money on? He ate it.

What did Raul Grijalva spend his money on? He ate it.
Rep. Raul Grijalva had raised over $550,000 for his campaign, and yet as of August 4th, he had less than $80,000 cash on hand. What happened to all that money? To date, Mr. Grijalva hasn’t run any television advertising. He hasn’t flooded the district with mailers or radio. So where did all that money go? He ate it.

At the end of the last filing period, Rep. Grijalva reported spending $90,959 on food and entertainment. In addition, Mr. Grijalva had spent $104,849 for professional fundraising services. That’s more than 35 percent of his total campaign contributions wasted on fundraising and fancy dinners.

Most professional fundraisers charge 5 to 10 percent for their services, Mr. Grijalva paid close to 20 percent for those services. And while buying dinner for your staff and volunteers as well as providing food at fundraising events is common on the campaign trail, it’s unheard of for a major campaign to spend nearly a sixth of their total contributions on food and entertainment.

“A half million dollars in Southern Arizona can go a long way,” noted Ruth McClung. “So, frankly, we’re glad that Mr. Grijalva decided to waste more than a third of his donor’s money on unproductive spending. Although I suppose for anyone familiar with Rep. Grijalva’s profligate waste of taxpayer funds, this should come as no surprise.”

Rep. Grijalva has never shown much respect for the money hardworking taxpayers are forced to give to the government each year. He’s voted for just about every reckless spending program cooked up in Washington, turned more than his share of pork on the spit, and now he’s advocating for an additional $50 billion federal stimulus program.

“The simple fact is that Arizonans cannot trust this man with their money,” McClung continued. “He’s a career politician who has never had to worry where his next paycheck was going to come from.” McClung paused, “Well, at least until now.”

It is this kind of disconnect from hardworking families that allows Mr. Grijalva to casually block the Superior, AZ Mine project which enjoys significant local support, and would create an estimated 6,000 direct and indirect jobs. People are out of work, families are struggling to put food on the table, and Raul Grijalva is spending tens of thousands of dollars entertaining his friends at the National Democratic Club.

Mr. Grijalva even managed to spend $4,807 in one night at Bedroxx, a Tucson bowling ally. We all love bowling, and Bedroxx is a fantastic place to take your family for a night of fun.

So we have to ask Mr. Grijalva one question: how many frames does $4,807 get you?

Raul Grijalva fakes “terrorist attack” to cover up Yuma voter fraud story

Raul Grijalva fakes “terrorist attack” to cover up Yuma voter fraud story
Here is a perfect example of political cynicism from the gangster Congressman in Arizona’s 7th District.

Just hours after the Yuma Sun reports that 3000 voter registrations had been dumped at the Yuma County Recorder’s Office by a group affiliated with the SEIU (with most of them subsequently found to be fraudulent), Raul Grijalva’s office received a suspicious package covered in swastikas with a white powder inside.

Now the story about the suspicious package — the “terrorist attack” as Grijalva puts it — has gone national, and the voter fraud story has gone unnoticed by the mainstream media. How convenient, right?

Raul Grijalva part-time staffer Emily Romero has repeatedly bragged to Democratic insiders that the campaign concocts these threats to take attention away from bad publicity. In this case, the campaign decided to fake a “terrorist attack” on themselves to cover up the story of voter fraud that had just broken.

What is most interesting is that the DCCC reported the suspicious package to the media long before the local authorities were even told about the situation. Plus, one has to ask, how does an envelope marked with swastikas and full of white powder make it successfully through the postal system these days?

It is unlikely that Grijalva will be able to steal this election from Ruth McClung, however. Sources say that a team of lawyers and election integrity experts is already been assembled to challenge illegal registrations and ballots cast in all of Southern Arizona’s counties.

Voters are being made aware that Grijalva and his allies are attempting to steal the election and that the integrity of the results could be in question.

Watch out, folks. This could be a bumpy ride.

Grijalva Complains About Outside Money: Is He Going to Return It?

Grijalva Complains About Outside Money: Is He Going to Return It?

Tucson, AZ -- Rep. Raul Grijalva has been complaining lately about all the "outside" money pouring into Arizona's 7th Congressional District. Yet today the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee announced yet another ad buy against his opponent, Ruth McClung. Even Mr. Grijalva's own money is mostly coming from outside of Arizona.

As first published by Politico, Mr. Grijalva recently reported raising $75,500 in a matter of days-with barely 20 percent of that money ($15,400) coming from sources in Arizona.

"It's not surprising that Mr. Grijalva is having trouble raising money here in Arizona," said McClung. "Maybe if he hadn't boycotted his own state, people would still have money to give him."

Mr. Grijalva's recent fundraising does raise some eyebrows. Since he's been so vocal in his objections to campaign contributions from outside of Arizona: when is he planning to return all that cash?

Winners Never Cheat by Jon Huntsman

Winners Never Cheat: Even in Difficult Times, New and Expanded Edition

The man who revolutionized the world by giving it the plastic spoon, fork, knife and Styrofoam take-out food container will once again change how you live your life. I can say that because that’s what happened to me after reading Jon Huntsman’s Winners Never Cheat.

In today’s world where it increasingly appears that we can’t trust our political or business leaders, this book is an unwavering reminder that traditional values never go out of style and are as essential today as they were forty years ago when Jon Huntsman launched a small chemical business that he grew into the world’s largest privately held chemical corporation. Jon Huntsman doesn’t like to be called a billionaire. He’s uncomfortable with that title. I’m convinced he also doesn’t like being one either because he’s committed to giving away his hard-earned fortune—not after he dies, but during his lifetime. I believe in this book’s message and its messenger. I have never in my life purchased any book by the case, except for this one. I give a copy to my friends who mistakenly believe that business can no longer be done with a look in the eye and a handshake. Many of the problems and much of the pain we’re currently experiencing on Wall Street and Washington could have been avoided if those we trusted with our money and our power lived what’s taught in these pages.

If you’re looking for success, read this book. If you’re wondering if you can be successful while staying true to your core principles, read this book. If you’re wondering, like so many are, if capitalism has a bright future, read this book. I have and it’s changed my life.

Glenn Beck Sparks Record Donations To Chamber of Commerce

By Paul Bedard
Share ThisFox News host Glenn Beck's eyebrow-raising $10,000 donation to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's campaign to help mostly Republican pro-business candidates sparked a record-breaking flood of small donor support to the Washington institution.

During his October 14 his radio broadcast, Beck said, "I would like to have this [be] the largest day of fundraising for the Chamber of Commerce ever." It was.

[See a photo gallery of Beck's Restoring Honor Rally.]

By the end of the day, after Beck announced his donation, linked the chamber fundraising campaign, and interviewed Chamber executive vice president for government affairs and top lobbyist Bruce Josten, the chamber raked in over $312,000, a history-making tally for the group. According to chief spokesman Tom Collamore, the Beck-inspired money bomb "was the single largest day of online fund raising that we've ever had." He said that over 7,000 made donations, for a rough average of $44 each, crashing the Chamber's Internet server.

The Chamber tells Washington Whispers that the donations encouraged by Beck came in through their Web site dedicated to helping small businesses, and the Friends of the Chamber Web site.

Beck's donation came after President Obama and dozens of Democratic leaders assailed the chamber for its political activities, charging that it was using funds from foreign corporate members to run ads against Democrats. They are also displeased with the chamber's refusal to reveal donors. The chamber says that it doesn't have to reveal donors and adds that it has complied with all laws barring foreign money from being used for domestic political activities.

Obama omits 'Creator' again...
Audio Available:

October 20, 2010 - 14:48 ET

Vote and Comment: Obama Continues to Omit ‘Creator’ From Declaration of Independence GLENN: First of all, in this debate with Coons and O'Donnell, you have the evolution coming up again. Why is evolution coming up? It is critical. First of all, they're trying to paint her as a crazy Christian

PAT: Witch.
GLENN: Christian.
PAT: Yeah.

GLENN: Who's going to jam everything down your throat in a Wiccan sort of way as a Christian. And so they are trying to make her look crazy. But more importantly, you have to understand why evolution is so important. And we just explained that for a second. But you remember if God didn't create, if things evolved, then your rights evolve. You're not endowed by your Creator. It's interesting. You're not endowed by your Creator with certain inalienable because your rights evolve. Just like you go from a monkey to a man, you go from simple rights to higher rights, and somebody has to take those rights and give them to you and take them away or change them. This is again the evolutionary thinking of progressivism. President Obama just gave yet another speech.

PAT: And in it once again he omitted the word Creator from

GLENN: How many times, America, is this man going to talk about collective salvation, which is "I've got to save all the half monkey people or I don't get saved." It is, it is an affront to Christianity. And when I say Christianity, I know there are people like Jim Wallis, you know, who vehemently disagree. I know there are Marxists out there that believe in the liberation theology which is, again, collective salvation. I get that. And I know there are a lot of Christians out there that don't think I'm a Christian because I'm a Mormon. I testify to you now that Jesus Christ is my savior and He saved me. The only reason why I am alive today is because of the atonement of Jesus Christ. Period. So let's move on.

Here's what you need to understand. There is a difference in the idea of Christianity and how we all practice but not of the salvation and atonement of Jesus Christ. If you are a Christian, Jesus Christ is the savior. Through him your sins are washed away. He has the only power to save. Only Jesus Christ.

PAT: Well, what about collectively? Like if my salvation is tied into your salvation. So

GLENN: I don't know why you have to do this.
PAT: Say then that's the only way. If you're saved, then I can be saved.

GLENN: So it is an affront to Christianity. It is the antithesis, right? The exact opposite of what is preached, or supposed to be preached by Christians. That is the Gospel. Not the social gospel, not, you know, the new social justice that's the Gospel gospel, period. And if you want to change it, well, then just say "I'm changing it." But they don't ever do that. They let it evolve, slowly. Again, evolution. Now, what is the president saying in the speeches? How many times does he have to omit the word "Creator" in our Declaration of Independence? And then brush it off like it's not important? It is gigantic.

PAT: He's done it at least three times including this one.

PRESIDENT OBAMA: These truths to be self evident that all men are created equal...
GLENN: Pause, pause, pause.

PRESIDENT OBAMA: Endowed with certain inalienable rights.

PAT: There it is. Endowed.

PRESIDENT OBAMA: Life and liberty.

GLENN: Endowed by who?

PRESIDENT OBAMA: Pursuit of happiness.

GLENN: Endowed by whom?

PAT: Well, it got the notice of Les Kinsolving who is a White House correspondent and he asked Gibbs about it.

Glenn Beck's Offer to George Soros

Glenn Beck's Offer to George Soros

This is a rush transcript from "Glenn Beck," October 19 2010. This copy may not be in its final form and may be updated.

GLENN BECK, HOST: So, I have been telling you now about Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats, the fact that they are just making stuff up now. I mean, they are just making it up. It's a comedy show. It is. And it's kind of sad because of that.

Foreign money attack against the Chamber — a lie. Better Business Bureau can be bought off — it's a lie. Republicans are blocking reform — it's a lie.

I mean, ask your friends and neighbors to watch this episode. Ask them, what part do we have wrong? Just — and watch this episode, what does he have wrong?

Show them the facts. All of this, all of this can be found on the Internet. All of it.

Now, here's the scary part. We are heading down the same path as France or Greece or, oh, Venezuela. Venezuela, beautiful this time of year. Oh, when the trees start to change color to be a little more red like the flag, oh, it's beautiful.

Of course, things aren't going well, there. What a surprise. Hugo Chavez now is seizing grocery stores and rationing food. Who would have seen that coming?

George Soros gives a $1 million to Media, another warning for Americans

Well this is one way to respond to Glenn Beck.

The New York Times just broke the story that very rich person George Soros is donating $1million to Media Matters “in an effort to more widely publicize the challenge Fox News poses to civil and informed discourse in our democracy.” Also because “recent evidence suggesting that the incendiary rhetoric of Fox News hosts may incite violence.” Recent evidence is presumably Media Matters recent campaign to prove that Glenn Beck is responsible for Byron Williams plan to attack workers at the American Civil Liberties Union and the Tides Foundation.

As the NYT (and frequently, Glenn Beck) points out Soros has long been rumored to be the money behind Media Matter even though officials there “regularly denied that they had ever taken money from Mr. Soros” something Soros again denies in his statement. However, Politico points out that Media Matters “has received funding from or formed partnerships with several groups that Soros funds. These include the Tides Foundation, Democracy Alliance, Moveon.org and the Center for American Progress.”

Company Chaos: The Central Intelligence Agency is a bloated, unresponsive bureaucracy that exists to serve itself and cannot fulfill its important intelligence-gathering role, which was the reason for its creation by President Harry Truman. This scathing indictment is made, not by the enraged "liberal media," but by a patriotic and devoted member of the CIA since the 1980s.

Ishmael Jones, the false name for a deep cover agent, offers a chilling insider's account that shows repeatedly that the agency is driven by incompetence and greed. Its false intelligence not only led President Bush to declare war in Iraq, but the Agency's blunders were responsible for the Iranian hostage crisis that bedeviled the Carter administration, and the Cuban Missile Crises, which nearly precipitated a world-ending nuclear war between the Soviet Union and the United States during the Kennedy administration.

Jones was not thrown out of the CIA but was a highly regarded agent who resigned to write this book because he could no longer serve in this organization that had lost its sense of purpose and the capability to protect the United States from terrorist attacks. This controversial, eye-opening account will be popular in public libraries and debated by its readers. --Karl Helicher, ForeWord Magazine

Merkel says German multi-cultural society has failed

Merkel says German multi-cultural society has failed

Merkel says German multi-cultural society has failed

by Audrey Kauffmann Audrey Kauffmann

Sun Oct 17, 11:50 am ET

BERLIN (AFP) – Germany's attempt to create a multi-cultural society has failed completely, Chancellor Angela Merkel said at the weekend, calling on the country's immigrants to learn German and adopt Christian values.

Merkel weighed in for the first time in a blistering debate sparked by a central bank board member saying the country was being made "more stupid" by poorly educated and unproductive Muslim migrants.

"Multikulti", the concept that "we are now living side by side and are happy about it," does not work, Merkel told a meeting of younger members of her conservative Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party at Potsdam near Berlin.

"This approach has failed, totally," she said, adding that immigrants should integrate and adopt Germany's culture and values.

"We feel tied to Christian values. Those who don't accept them don't have a place here," said the chancellor.

"Subsidising immigrants" isn't sufficient, Germany has the right to "make demands" on them, she added, such as mastering the language of Goethe and abandoning practices such as forced marriages.

Merkel spoke a week after talks with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in which they pledged to do more to improve the often poor integration record of Germany's 2.5-million-strong Turkish community.

Turkish President Abdullah Gul, in a weekend interview, also urged the Turkish community living in Germany to master the language of their adopted country.

"When one doesn't speak the language of the country in which one lives that doesn't serve anyone, neither the person concerned, the country, nor the society," the Turkish president told the Suedeutsche Zeitung.

"That is why I tell them at every opportunity that they should learn German, and speak it fluently and without an accent. That should start at nurseries."

German President Christian Wulff was due for a five-day visit to Turkey and talks with the country's leaders on Monday.

The immigration debate has at times threatened to split Merkel's conservative party, and she made noises to both wings of the debate.

While saying that the government needed to encourage the training of Muslim clerics in Germany, Merkel said "Islam is part of Germany", echoeing the recent comments of Wulff, a liberal voice in the party.

Horst Seehofer, the leader of the CDU's Bavarian sister party, CSU, who represents the right-wing, recently said Germany did not "need more immigrants from different cultures like the Turks and Arabs" who are "more difficult" to integrate.

While warning against "immigration that weighs down on our social system", Merkel said Germany needed specialists from overseas to keep the pace of its economic development.

According to the head of the German chamber of commerce and industry, Hans Heinrich Driftmann, Germany is in urgent need of about 400,000 engineers and qualified workers, whose lack is knocking about one percent off the country's growth rate.

The integration of Muslims has been a hot button issue since August when a member of Germany's central bank sparked outrage by saying the country was being made "more stupid" by poorly educated and unproductive Muslim migrants with headscarves.

The banker, Thilo Sarrazin, has since resigned but his book on the subject -- "Germany Does Itself In" -- has flown off the shelves, and polls showed considerable sympathy for some of his views.

A recent study by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation think tank showed around one-third of Germans feel the country is being "over-run by foreigners" and the same percentage feel foreigners should be sent home when jobs are scarce.

Nearly 60 percent of the 2,411 people polled thought the around four million Muslims in Germany should have their religious practices "significantly curbed."

Far-right attitudes are found not only at the extremes of German society, but "to a worrying degree at the centre of society," the think tank said in its report.

"Hardly eight weeks have passed since publication of Sarrazin's theory of decline, and the longer the debate continues to a lower level it falls," the weekly Der Spiegel commented Sunday.

I was truly shocked when I heard about this organization, it seems that people are so concerned about their basic freedom and liberties that they have to start this organization.  I saw the  story on fox news that some state didn't approve of it, using his membership as a negative against him.

Ruth McClung Taking Off Like a Rocket

Ruth McClung Taking Off Like a Rocket

Confirming indications of a building Republican "wave" this fall, polls now show Democrat Rep. Raul Grijalva in a dead-heat with his little-known challenger in Arizona's 7th District. Politico reports that the Congressional Hispanic Caucus is now directing campaign cash to help Grijalva against insurgent GOP candidate Ruth McClung.

A big part of Grijalva's problem is that earlier this year, the incumbent Democrat joined those calling for a boycott of Arizona after the state passed a tough law aimed at curbing illegal immigration. Grijalva may have expected that stance would endear him with voters in the 7th District -- where about half of voters are Hispanic -- but it appears to have backfired disastrously. Polls show the Arizona law is popular, while Grijalva's support for a boycott was seen as harmful to the economy of a district suffering with high unemployment.

Fifty percent of 7th District voters say they're ready to dump Grijalva, while McClung ,an attractive young physicist who works for a rocket engineering firm, has begun capturing national attention.

Late Sunday night, I spoke to a Republican pollster in Arizona who had conducted a 7th District poll early last week and couldn't believe the result: McClung actually leading by 2 percentage points. So he polled the district again and got similar results. Now those surprising findings have been confirmed by the Magellan Strategies poll that struck alarm among Democrats. Independents in the district are breaking strongly toward the Republican, a Tea Party favorite who is also supported by about a fifth of voters who identify as Democrats.

Polls indicating a surge for McClung have had an important effect: Arizona's two Republican senators, John McCain and John Kyl, have reportedly started directing campaign donations and other resources toward the 7th District campaign. Within the next week, McClung's candidacy is expected to gain $100,000 worth of Republican support, in addition to a steadily increasing stream of online small-donor contributions from grassroots conservatives eager to defeat Grijalva, who is co-chairman of the Progressive Caucus.

Boycott Grijalva, not Arizona!

Boycott Grijalva, not Arizona!
Vote Ruth McClung!
My campaign has tried its best to stay positive with ideas and solutions instead of negative rhetoric. However, we think what Grijalva is doing to our state by calling for an economical boycott is inexcusable.

So my campaign is taking a little different direction and starting a new slogan along with the "maybe it does take a Rocket scientist" for the campaign: Boycott Grijalva, not Arizona. Vote Ruth McClung!

Sarah Palin endorses Republican Ruth McClung over Raul Grijalva

Sarah Palin endorses Republican Ruth McClung in her campaign to unseat Congressman Raul Grijalva. From Sarah's Facebook page:

Ruth McClung is the smart choice for Congress in southwestern Arizona. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that our country is on the wrong track under the leadership of Obama, Pelosi, and Reid; but Ruth actually is a rocket scientist! Ruth’s commonsense fiscal approach to job creation and reining in reckless government spending is in sharp contrast to her opponent’s liberal record. In fact, Ruth is running against a four term incumbent who is so out of touch that he actually called for a boycott of his own constituents. It’s simple: The people of Arizona’s 7th Congressional District deserve better. Please visit Ruth’s website at www.ruth4az.com and follow her on Facebook and Twitter.

Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy

Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy

Glen Beck mentions this writer on his tv show today, sounds like a very interesting and enlightened character.

''In Hitler's Germany, a Lutheran pastor chooses resistance and pays with his life. . . Eric Metaxas tells Bonhoeffer's story with passion and theological sophistication, often challenging revisionist accounts that make Bonhoeffer out to be a 'humanist' or ethicist for whom religious doctrine was easily disposable. . . Metaxas reminds us that there are forms of religion -- respectable, domesticated, timid -- that may end up doing the devil's work for him. --Wall Street Journal

''In this weighty, riveting analysis of the life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Metaxas offers a comprehensive review of one of history's darkest eras, along with a fascinating exploration of the familial, cultural, and religious influences that formed one of the world's greatest contemporary theologians. A passionate narrative voice combines with meticulous research. . . Abundant source documentation brings to life the personalities and experiences that shaped Bonhoeffer…Insightful and illuminating, this tome makes a powerful contribution to biography, history, and theology.'' --Publishers Weekly

''A welcome new biography of one of the twentieth century's leading lights. Metaxas magnificently captures the life of theologian and anti-Nazi activist Dietrich Bonhoeffer (1906-1945), who 'thought it the plain duty of the Christian-and the privilege and honor-to suffer with those who suffered.' In the finest treatment of the man since Eberhard Bethge's Dietrich Bonhoeffer: Man of Vision, Man of Courage (1970), Metaxas presents a complete, accessible picture of this important figure, whose story is inspiring, instructive, and international in scope. . . Metaxas rightly focuses on his subject's life, not his theology, though readers will learn plenty about his theology as well. The author makes liberal use of primary sources, which bring Bonhoeffer and other characters to vivid life. For the most part, Metaxas allows this epic story to play itself out, unhindered by commentary; where he does add his own voice, the conclusions are sage. A definitive Bonhoeffer biography for the twenty-first century.'' --Kirkus Reviews (starred review)

Carl Paladino gets my vote, just say no to speedos

Paladino: Kids shouldn’t see Speedo-clad men ‘grinding’

NEW YORK — The Republican candidate for governor of New York said Monday that he does not regret controversial statements he made about homosexuality and gay marriage because "the remarks that I made I believe in."

"I'm only responsible for what I say," Carl Paladino told NBC's TODAY. "And I've always stood behind everything that I've said."

Statements Paladino made to a group of Orthodox Jewish leaders in Brooklyn on Sunday — including one about people being "brainwashed" about gay issues — have sparked outrage from critics.

"My feelings on homosexuality are unequivocal; I have absolutely no problem with it whatsoever. My only reservation is marriage," Paladino said. The gubernatorial hopeful noted during the interview that he would recruit gays to serve in his administration and currently has homosexual staffers working on his campaign.

"I say that unequivocally I will be a governor for all the people of the state of New York and I've never moved off of that position," Paladino added.

Glenn Beck sick?

Glenn Beck sick?

This morning on his radio program, Glenn Beck discussed in more detail some of the physical challenges he’s been facing. Glenn told his audience that he will be taking several days off next week to undergo tests at a hospital “out west.”

On recent broadcasts he’s discussed that he has been having problems with feeling in his hands and feet. Today he explained that “small fiber” issues may be involved but that testing will provide more understanding. “We don’t even know what all of the symptoms are at this point,“ he explained adding that he believes ”physical, mental and spiritual are all tied.“ By ”small fibers,” he was referring to the possibility of a small fiber neuropathy diagnosis. But that is just one possibility among many things that will be considered.

see the complete info here for Glenn Beck medical condition

Glenn also said the listeners may have noticed a change in how he sounds on the air. He said he’s been having problems with his vocal cords and that doctors will also be examining this problem.

Glenn talked at length about how the bond he has with his radio audience has been built on a foundation of disclosure and that he felt it was important for him to share as much information as he could, “So that you will understand my mindset.”

This post will be updated throughout the day to add information and clips from the program.

Rules for Radical Conservatives: Beating the Left

Normally when someone whispers, “Psssst, hey buddy,” at me (especially when I’m in Hollywood), I keep on walking. But for someone reason when David Kahane did it, I stopped and I listened. And boy, did I get a politically insightful earful.

Kahane is the pseudonymous persona of a highly-connected, extremely funny, and incredibly bright Hollywood liberal who has turned to eating his own. Reading Kahane is like sitting next to Sean Connery in that scene from The Untouchables when he tells Elliot Ness that the only way he’ll ever beat Capone is to beat him at his own game, to beat him the Chicago way, and that’s what Rules for Radical Conservatives is all about-–beating the leftists at their own game.

Don’t ask me why Kahane, the Arthur Frommer of the left, turned against his once beloved Progressive movement, just be glad that he has. Throughout this brilliant book, we get a poignant (and hysterical) peek behind the leftist curtain and learn what motivates them, how they operate, how they have co-opted media, education, government, and more. Best of all, Kahane offers us an ingenious, point-by-point roadmap for taking our country back.

If you haven’t read Kahane before, you’re in for a treat. If you haven’t even heard of Kahane before, you’re in for an even bigger treat as Rules for Radical Conservatives is the perfect place to delve into his wide and witty body of work. And while the left may refer to him as their Benedict Arnold, I see him as our own Benjamin Franklin-–a man of incalculable intellect who can’t help but dispense his wisdom with an extraordinary sense of humor.

Make no mistake, Kahane is no leftist plant. He’s the real deal and he’s here to help save America. Never has there been a funnier book that so succinctly spells out the left’s game and how to beat them at it. Only when you stop laughing will you realize how much you have learned and how much better prepared you are to take the fight to those who would destroy America and everything we hold dear.

In short-–I laughed, I cried, I bought copies to give to all my friends. Rules for Radical Conservatives gets two red-white-and-blue thumbs all the way up!

did Rahm Emanuel served on the board of Fannie/Freddie mac?

did Rahm Emanuel served on the board of Fannie/Freddie mac?

think people are stillt rying to get minutes of this board of directors that drove the company into the ground, yet top execs walked away with millions.

Emanuel was named to the Board of Directors of the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac) by President Bill Clinton in 2000. His position earned him at least $320,000, including later stock sales.[31][32] He was not assigned to any of the board's working committees, and the Board met no more than six times per year.[32]

During his time on the board, Freddie Mac was plagued with scandals involving campaign contributions and accounting irregularities.[32][33] The Obama Administration rejected a request under the Freedom of Information Act to review Freddie Mac board minutes and correspondence during Emanuel's time as a director.[32]

The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) later accused the board of having "failed in its duty to follow up on matters brought to its attention." Emanuel resigned from the board in 2001 when he ran for Congress.[34]

see more on this self serving prick / character at ........
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rahm_Emanuel
Emanuel joined the House in January 2003 and was named to the Financial Services Committee, where he also sat on the subcommittee that directly oversaw Freddie Mac. A few months later, Freddie Mac Chief Executive Officer Leland Brendsel was forced out, and the committee and subcommittee launched hearings to sort out the mess, spanning more than a year. Emanuel skipped every hearing, congressional records indicate.
