Mccain to be in Maine on May 21

AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — Emery calls the Arizona senator’s planned visit May 21st “a tremendous boost” to his campaign. Emery faces two rivals in the GOP primary June 13th. Both Peter Mills and Chandler Woodcock are funding their campaigns through Maine’s taxpayer-financed Clean Election Act.

Donors will pay 100 dollars for general admission to the McCain fundraiser and 500 dollars to attend a private reception with the senator.

McCain, who lost the Republican nomination for president to George W. Bush in 2000, has been traveling to different states to help party candidates raise funds. McCain’s been high in the polls for his expected run for president in 2008.
